Hello, I'm Michael.

I lead product, design, and engineering at Getaround, the car-sharing marketplace. I joined Drivy as an engineer in 2014, and twelve years later, I'm still here. We've been acquired twice and made several acquisitions of our own. Along the way, I've grown teams, shrunk them, merged platforms, and, lately, worked a lot on AI.

I still write code, at work and on side projects. Most of all, I enjoy building good products and working on problems where the hard part is people, processes, and constraints, not just the code.

I write here to think things through: leadership, product, engineering, AI, and the decisions in between. I've also started making time to coach engineering leaders and advise companies.

I live in Paris, and I'm a dad of two.
